Priya Ele is a writer originally from New Jersey.

Now based in New York, she holds a BFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University.

Her fiction has been published in SmokeLong Quarterly, Passages North, and Hobart after Dark, among others. Her plays have been produced off broadway at Soho Playhouse and with the Elif Collective. She was shortlisted for the 2024 Ploughshares Emerging Writers’ Prize.

Starting in fall 2025, she will be pursuing an MFA in fiction at Columbia University.
